About Kate

Pronouns: She / Her

I am a Master of Social Work Year 2 practicum student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. I bring experiences of working alongside children, youth, and young adults navigating mental health, life transitions, and systemic barriers. My practice is guided by a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and a decolonial lens, with a focus on centering client stories, fostering self-compassion, and supporting healing from intergenerational trauma and child welfare experiences. I am passionate about creating collaborative, strengths-based therapeutic spaces that honor cultural and racial identities while supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. I am from Vancouver and love spending my time (when not working with people), rock climbing, snuggling my cat, writing poetry, or consuming film and TV!

Note: Kate is currently a student intern. Her work is supervised by Katherine Hall, MSW RSW.

Practicum Starts September 2025
