About This Workshop:
In this engaging, in-person workshop, children will explore the world of emotions and the power of having a growth mindset through fun, hands-on activities, video stories, and creative reflection.
We believe that every child experiences big feelings—and every child has the power to grow through them. Through playful group games, guided discussions, art-based worksheets, and meaningful conversations, children will learn how to recognize their emotions, understand what’s happening in their brain when they feel overwhelmed, and practice tools to respond in healthy, empowering ways.
A key highlight of the workshop includes the introduction of the Hand-Brain Model (“Flip Your Lid”), a simple and memorable way to understand the brain’s response to emotions like anger, frustration, and fear. Children will also learn about the difference between feelings and behaviors through the story "Ravi's Roar", a heartwarming video that explores the importance of managing big feelings while teaching safe and respectful expression.
The second part of the workshop focuses on building a growth mindset—the belief that we can get better with effort and learning. Using engaging videos (like Mojo from ClassDojo), kids will practice shifting from “I can’t” to “I can try,” learning how to bounce back from mistakes and persevere through challenges.
Whether your child is navigating friendship challenges, learning frustration, or just growing their emotional vocabulary, this workshop gives them the confidence to say: “My feelings matter. My brain can grow. I’ve got this!”
