These art therapy workshops are designed to promote self-expression and personal reflection through the art making process. The focus is less about what we are drawing and more about letting go, being curious, and noticing how different materials and processes make us feel. Each week, participants will be guided through different art therapy prompts that integrate art making, mindfulness, and gentle movement. No previous art experience or fancy supplies are necessary!
Workshop 1: Intuitive Painting
Location: Online
Cost: $15
Materials Needed:
Markers, crayons, or pastels
Pencil/pen to write with
Brushes
Paper to paint on- the larger the better!
Acrylic paint in a variety of colours (Dollarama has a great selection)
Palette (can also use parchment paper or plate, whatever works)
Container for water, such as a glass cup
Paper towel or rag
Any fun, textured items you have that you can use to dip the paint in e.g., old sponge, saran wrap, fork, stencils etc.
