About Julie

Pronouns: She / Her

Hi there, my name is Julie!

I have worked in the social work field for eight years, supporting individuals and families facing complex challenges. I have both a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work degree, and have experience working with a range of concerns, such as stress and burnout, life transitions, depression and anxiety, and interpersonal relationships. My current areas of interest include the topics of grief and loss as well as trauma. I work with individuals of all ages, and I especially enjoy working with children, youth, and young adults as they learn to discover and navigate life.

I practice through the lens of a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective. My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Most importantly, I’m committed to tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs and goals.

Sharing your story can be difficult, and I strive to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore and grow. Whether you are seeking to overcome past experiences, break free from negative patterns, or simply find more joy and fulfillment in your everyday life, I am here to provide the support and guidance you need to make it happen. My role is to help cultivate hope and resilience as I walk alongside you on your journey to healing and positive change. Ultimately, my best hope for you is that you will not only be able to cope with daily life but that you will truly thrive!

If you feel ready to take that first step, please feel free to book a free consultation with me to help determine if we would be a good fit. I look forward to working with you and supporting you every step of the way!
