About Chelsea
Pronouns: She/Her
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who specializes in working with youth, young adults, adults and their families. I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta. I have extensive experience working with youth and their loved ones from various backgrounds and experiences, with a specific focus on those experiencing complex mental health.
In therapy sessions, I strive to create a space that feels safe and comfortable for you to show up and share in an authentic and genuine way. I have the belief that everyone is the expert of their own life and with this I try to personalize my therapeutic approach to each person I work with. Narrative therapy, strength-based and trauma-informed practice are common approaches I use. Collaboration, compassion, advocacy, curiosity and non-judgement are central to my style.
My areas of interests include anxiety, depression, stress, coping with life transitions (school, work, relationships), grief and loss, self-esteem, self-compassion and self-care and wellness. I value creating open discussions about your therapy goals while equipping you with strategies, skills and resources to support your needs.
